Challenges
A new Women's Center was slated for construction at the Lake Forest Campus. Studio One Design accepted the challenge to design a facility that would blend with the existing hospital standards and continue to exemplify the quality of service and image for which Lake Forest Hospital is recognized.

Solutions
To maintain a consistent theme, Studio One Design created a palette of colors that is compatible with the existing hospital standards and can be utilized in other areas of the campus. Furniture and finishes were selected that created a warm and inviting atmosphere for patients, families and friends.

To aid the facility in future maintenance, Studio One designed public corridors with six foot vinyl back carpet with wood look vinyl borders, which flow into the patient rooms. As carpet is often one of the first items to be replaced, it will be a simple task to pull up the 6 foot inlay with little disruption to the patients and staff.
