Challenges
Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center's lobby was dark, uninviting and difficult to navigate for the many visitors and patients who arrived at the hospital each day. The environment did not reflect the warm and welcoming community of Advocate Illinois Masonic. Studio One Design was challenged with upgrading the facility's image to help attract and retain staff and patients.

Solutions
New finishes were selected to complement the existing granite walls and terrazzo floor, and lighting and ceiling designs were replaced to create impact upon entering the facility. Two new information desks were designed to aid patients and visitors in reaching their destination.

New furniture was selected and placed in groupings where family members can wait together. What was once dark and uninviting is now bright, open and user friendly.
